About

Hi! I’m Kenzie,
the owner of Nourish Coffee + Kitchen, and I would love to share my vision behind opening the shop.
For years I struggled with my health, and I struggled to truly enjoy life because of the constant pain I was in. I dealt with symtoms like headaches, bloating, and stomach pain. It wasn’t until I started paying attention to my diet and what my body was telling me that I realized how much the food I was eating was actually hurting me. I realized that so much of our life stems from what we are putting into our body. I changed my diet, and everything started to shift.
I started trading regular bread for sourdough, watching the sugar sources I ate, and eliminating processed foods and inflamatory oils. And very quickly, I started noticing a change.
I also started noticing that I was not alone in facing this dietary battle. So many people, like me, were struggling to find delicous, nutritious food that would help to heal their bodies, rather than continue to hurt them.
I began to consider the possibility of starting a coffee shop where people like me can find healthy options that don’t make them sick, while also not compromising on the taste. And that is where the vision for Nourish Coffee + Kitchen was born.
So what does Nourish mean to me?
Our bodies do so much for us and I believe we need to take care of them and feed them with quality, nutritious food that sustains life.
Our goal is to serve you high quality food and drinks made with fresh ingredients, sourced as locally as possible. Only using what we would be comfortable using for our family.
That looks a little like: fresh local milk (non-homogenized), sweeteners like raw local honey and maple syrup, local homemade sourdough bread, fresh produce, local cage free brown eggs, organic coffee roasted in Ohio, no inflammatory seed or vegetable oils- only butter, coconut, avocado, or EV olive oil, house made milk alternatives, and house made dressings, sauces, and coffee syrups.
We also desire to be a place of peace, rest, encouragement, and connection. A place where respect and honor is shown to all. And we hope to bring the love of Jesus into our town and to the people we serve.
So from my family to yours, thank you. Thank you for supporting our dream to provide a place of Nourishment.
